For the first time Brentwood Recreation will be hosting its first ever senior trip to Stonewall Kitchen in York Maine! The trip will take place on Thursday, October 24 2019. The Stonewall Kitchen Cooking School is a gourmet cooking class with lunch prepared by a guest chief. As the audience watches and learns, the 3-course lunch is served during the presentation.

The luncheon class is Thursday, October 24th, 2019 from 11:30-1:30pm. The menu theme for the day is "The Last Day of Autumn" taught by Chief Jane St. Pierce. The menu will consist of

  • Classic French Onion Soup
  • Individual Cottage Pie (made from scratch with boiled mashed potato topping over a beef and vegetable filing.)
  • Parker House Dinner Tolls with mixed green salad
  • Cinnamon Apple Crisp     

There are 20 tickets available at a cost of $50 per person. There is an optional $5 charge for the first 14 people that wish to take the brand new recreation van to the event. The van will depart from the community center at 10:15am. It is recommended to show to the community center no later than 10am.

For anyone not taking the van they can still meet at the community center at 10am to carpool and follow the van to Stonewall Kitchen. The van and others will be leaving at 10:15am no matter what so if you are unable to meet at the community center please meet the group at Stonewall Kitchen at 11:15am.
