CULVERT REPLACEMENT ON NORTH ROAD IN BRENTWOOD
ROAD CLOSURE AND SIGNED DETOUR FROM NOV. 5 THROUGH NOV. 9
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the planned installation of concrete culverts on North Road in Brentwood will require a five day closure of the road and a signed detour. This project is a permanent fix for the failure of twin 30-inch corrugated metal culverts that occurred in March of 2018.
Beginning Monday, November 5, 2018, North Road in Brentwood will be closed for five days for the installation of twin 48-inch reinforced concrete culverts that will carry an unnamed tributary to Dudley Brook.
The signed detour will follow the same route that was used last March for the temporary repairs. Vehicles headed eastbound will detour to Prescott Road, NH Route 111A, Deer Hill Road then back onto North Road. Vehicles heading westbound will follow the same routes in the reverse direction. Detour signing will be installed along the detour route guiding traffic at key locations. NH Route 125 will have electronic message boards in place informing northbound and southbound motorists of the detour.
